This is one of the clear rights of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), both during his life and after his death. During his life, the Messenger of Allah’s Companions fulfilled this duty very well. After the Messenger of Allah’s death, defending him entails defending his Sunnah if it is subject to rebuke from critics, misrepresentation by the ignorant or fabrications of liars. The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) himself should be defended if anyone talks badly or sarcastically about him, or describes him in a way that is not suitable for his position as a Prophet. During our time, there are many defamation campaigns that aim at slandering and insulting the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him). Therefore, all Muslims have to defend their Prophet (peace be upon him) using all means possible and all methods to pressurize such scoffers until they stop their lies and fabrications, although they will not be able to touch his noble position, as Allah (Glorified is He) says, {We are enough for you against the mockers} [Surah Al-Hijr: 95] Allah (Glorified is He) also says, {It is the one who hates you who is cut off without an heir} [Surah Al-Kawthar: 3] that is, your enemy and the one who hates you will be very inferior and debased. And this truly is the case; praise be to Allah, the Lord of all the worlds.
