Because of him, Prophet Muhammad was known as Abu Al- Qasim. Qasim was a son of Khadijah (may Allah be pleased with her). Qasim was born before Prophet Mohammed’s prophethood and died when he was two years old. Some say he died when he was still breast-feeding.
Abdullah was also Khadijah’s son. He used to be called At-Tayb and At-Tahir as he was born after
Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) became a Messenger.
Ibrahim was the last son of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). Ibrahim was the son of Maria the Copt (may Allah be pleased with her), who the Byzantine King in Egypt had sent to Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) in the sixth year after Hijrah. Just like the rest of Prophet Muhammad's sons, Ibrahim did not live long as he died in Medina ten years after Hijrah, when he was seventeen or eighteen months old.
When his son Ibrahim died, Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said,
Truly, the eyes shed tears and the heart feels grieved, but we do not say anything except what pleases Our Lord. Oh Ibrahim, we are grieved by your separation related by Al-Bukhari.
What do you think is the wisdom for Prophet Muhammad's sons dying during the Prophet’s life?
